Gertrude Jekyll’s Lost Garden

July 18, 2020 @ 7:00 am - 8:30 am PDT

Claude Graves presents “Gertrude Jekyll’s Lost Garden”

Gertrude Jekyll was the world’s premier garden designer during the early 1900s. Come along to London on a virtual visit to a restored Jekyll garden and hear the improbable story of the discovery and amazing re-construction of a long-lost historic garden. This feat is even more incredible when you consider it was accomplished single-handedly by one woman who had no previous gardening experience. Her restored garden is now internationally recognized as the most authentic Gertrude Jekyll garden in existence today!

Claude Graves has been growing roses for more than 50 years. He is the current Chairman of the American Rose Center Committee, a Master Consulting Rosarian, Member and former Treasurer of the Heritage Rose Foundation, three-time President of the Collin County Rose Society, twice President of the Dallas Rose Society and Twice President of the Dallas Area Historical Rose Society. Claude is currently the Rose Consultant to the Dallas Arboretum and is the Gardens Curator at the Chambersville Heritage Rose Garden and Anne Belovich Rambler Rose Collection in McKinney, Texas. He is a co-author of the EarthKind© Rose Manual and has been awarded the ARS Silver Medal and Outstanding Consulting Rosarian Award by the ARS South Central District.
