Iceberg is one of the most widely grown roses in the world, valued for its reliability, vigor, and near-constant bloom. The flowers are crisp white, sometimes opening with a hint of pale green or blush, and are borne in generous clusters that keep the plant looking fresh for months at a time. While the fragrance is subtle, the sheer abundance of bloom more than compensates.
This floribunda forms a rounded, bushy shrub with glossy green foliage that contrasts beautifully with the flowers. In warm climates, Iceberg can grow surprisingly large and is often trained as a short climber. It tolerates heat well, performs admirably in cooler climates, and is forgiving of less-than-perfect care.
One of Iceberg’s greatest strengths is its adaptability. It thrives in garden beds, hedges, and containers, and is a favorite in public landscapes because it keeps flowering even when neglected. Iceberg has also produced several sports, including climbing and pink forms. Few roses can match its combination of elegance, durability, and nonstop bloom.
