Roses have been a way life for the Douglas-Campbell family since 1970 when Dr William Campbell first started High Country Roses. Matt Douglas represents the third generation of family leadership for the nursery.  High Country Roses has had two guiding tenants since its inception.  First, is a dedication to preserving and keeping old garden roses in commerce. Second is a desire to provide cold hardy own-root roses for customers in difficult climates. Today, the nursery produces about 40,000 own-root roses each year from our location in suburban Denver.

The American Rose Society offers numerous educational opportunities including monthly webinars on a variety of topics. Pat Shanley, Chair of the Webinar Committee, has put together an exciting line up with speakers from around the world. These webinars are provided free of charge for all American Rose Society members. There is a $5 fee for all others interested in attending a webinar.
