SUMMARY:Celebration of Roses
DESCRIPTION:Come join us at the Marin Rose Society’s “Celebration of Roses\,” an opportunity to share your garden roses in a magnificent display for all to enjoy!  This uplifting community celebration of roses will feature a non-juried show with cash prizes where winners will be determined by Marin Rose Society members and the public. There will be an ARS Photography Show\, an educational component\, and FREE rose plants for children to learn how to care for roses.  The Bon Air Center will be celebrating their 70-year anniversary with bands at each end of the Center\, and many sidewalk vendors. Mark your calendar for this fun-filled day for all\, a time for members – new and old to meet and greet one another and share their love of roses. \nBon Air Center at Greenbrae (next to Wells Fargo) – Open to the Public from 11 am to 2 pm \nRoses accepted from 9 to 11 am \nFor details about the ARS Marin Rose Society Photography Show visit our website. \nFor the horticultural display\, please bring in your roses from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. in your own vases\, bottles\, cartons\, etc.  The color of the bottle you use does not matter. SUMMARY:Easy and Simple Spring Rose Arrangements
DESCRIPTION:This will be a fun instructional session in which our speaker\, Barbara Gordon\, will demonstrate around 5 different arrangements that members will be able to make in their home with their own roses. \nA friend of the Marin Rose Society\, Barbara grows around 400 roses in her Mountain View garden with fruit trees\, camellias and other flowers as complements.  Barbara is a ARS Consulting Rosarian\, ARS Rose and Arrangement Judge\, Camellia Judge\, and a National Garden Club judge.  Barbara was formerly both a Sogetsu Ikebana teacher AND a Kindergarten teacher.  This will be a practical and informative session that none will want to miss. \nThis event will be held in-person only at the Mill Valley Community Center\, 180 Camino Alto\, Mill Valley.
