DESCRIPTION:This is the perfect time to get out in the garden and hard prune your roses. Marin Master Gardener and Rosarian Don Chapman will give a brief talk about necessary tools\, what and why to prune and much more (maybe even how to propagate). Most importantly\, he will demonstrate how\, where\, how far\, and why to prune. Participants will break into small groups and prune a rose under supervision and instruction. \nDress warmly and bring hand pruners and gloves (rose pruning gloves if you have them). \nThis event is held outside and will go on during a drizzle and is only cancelled if it is pouring rain. \nCoffee and snacks will be provided. \nDon Chapman\, Marin Master Gardener and long time Rosarian\, is an expert rose pruner and has taught about pruning for many years.
